Find Internet Marketing Success with a Kick Butt To-do List

Boosting your level of productivity when you're an Internet Marketer only happens once you've figured out the best possible ways to organize your operation so that you are able to get more done. In this article we'll teach you how to create your to-do list in a way that automatically increases your level of productivity.

List Things You're Not Supposed to Do: A unique twist that you can put on creating and executing a to-do list is to list all those things that you're not supposed to do. But does that really help? It helps to focus your attention toward what you need to do and away from what you're not supposed to do. To use one example, let's say that you are in the habit of checking your e-mail all the time; this can be a major distraction and keep you from finishing your to-do list. You can add a task to your list which says "check email twice a day" - and then strike this item off your to-do list at the end of the day if you happen to respect it. The fact is that your focus can easily get distributed amongst other things that eat up your productivity and you should try to minimize this as much as you can.

Be Realistic: When you are composing your to-do list, don't be unrealistic and include a bunch of tasks that you do not have the time to finish because that can be a major de-motivating factor. The very last thing that you want is to regularly leave your to-do list half done and think that you have created unrealistic goals for yourself. This will move you away from your track and will make it more difficult to finish your to-do list. The first thing you need to do is look at how much you need to accomplish, then how much you can actually do in a day and then add that much to your list. This helps give you some clarity and forward momentum because you will actually be accomplishing things each day.

All of the things you get to cross off of your list get you closer to your main objective and that is a powerful motivating tool.

If You Miss It, Do It Tomorrow: This is one rule that is easily taken advantage of by procrastinators so if you have a bad habit of procrastinating, be careful when you are putting things off. Of course, if you look at it through a realistic lens, you'll see that missing tasks here and there will happen to everybody and that's okay. Since you can't predict with any real accuracy how your day will go or if there will be any major hurdles. So if you miss a task, and don't do so on purpose, just put it on the next day's to-do list (don't just forget it totally).

Last but certainly not in the least, it is important to know which direction you are moving in so that you know how to put forth a consistent effort and, at the end of every day, feel like you have gotten something done as you cross items off of your to-do list.
