Wave Farewell To The Green Eyed Monster In These 3 Basic Steps

Would you consider yourself a jealous person? Are you familiar with the green eyed monster rearing its ugly head from time to time; envious at your friend's content relationship, your work colleagues pay rise or perhaps the beautiful home of the celebs you follow on the tv?

You might argue that jealousy is an entirely human reaction, a harmless trait which is completely out of your control? If you believe this, then you're sorely mistaken (see - www.thelawofattraction.co.uk/the-secret/ ).

Envy is an emotion that springs from fear; it is an emotion of 'wanting' and 'lack'. When we allow ourselves to get jealous, it means we've lost all sight of gratitude and of our own happiness. When we are jealous we are rejecting responsibility for our lives and limiting our realities even further, through negative thoughts and beliefs.

Unfortunately, when we are jealous we can forget just what we truly want which can result in making choices that we later come to regret. Have a look at the following 3 steps, to discover how to curb your jealousy forever:

1.Accept Your Situation

Discover how to be more accepting of your entire current life. Lots of people find it all too easy to criticise and berate themselves for what they feel to be their shortcomings, failures and fears - all too often magnifying the successes and strengths of those around them, causing the jealousy that they feel.

Nobody is perfect - it really is paramount that people begin to recognise this. We only ever do the best that we can do in the current circumstances. So, learn to feel ok with things just as they are. Build a foundation from which you can build.

2.Appreciate What You Have And Who You Are

Well-known Law of Attraction teachers Esther and Jerry Hicks often talk about appreciation being 'thoughts of abundance'. Appreciation is regarded as the presence of all things positive and the absence of all things negative. By concentrating on your appreciation for everything that you have in your life and everything that you are (see - the law of attraction andread more here ), negative emotions such as jealousy are left redundant.

Ask yourself today - what do I currently appreciate in my own life?

3.Celebrate The Positives!

More often than not, scrutinising the lives of others can feel the more appealing option to scrutinising our own. For many, taking a close look at their current life can seem a scary feat, one they would much rather ignore than tackle head on.

But, should you closely examine your current life, you might be surprised at the many positives that you find. The truth is never nearly as scary as our imaginations - so start paying greater attention to what your life has to offer and you may be pleasantly surprised by what you find.

The more you look for and celebrate the positives in your own life, the more positive your life will become. Turn your jealousy into a positive from which you can learn. Next time you feel jealousy creeping in make use of the above three steps and turn your attention inwards to your own strengths and dreams. Continue to do this and you'll banish jealousy from your life for good.
