For those of you who don't know Hadleigh, Essex very well - it's a great town positioned in-between Leigh on Sea and Benfleet.The area of Hadleigh has a wide array of tourist attractions to be enjoyed by all ages. If you like historic sites, Hadleigh is home to the famous Hadleigh castle - built in the 13th century, for retail therapy Hadleigh offers a great range of fashion retailers as well as boutique stores, branded supermarkets, widely known fast food outlets and quaint gift shops. Hadleigh Farm recently saw some very exciting events take place as it played host to the London 2012 Olympic Mountain Biking Games. With all the recent activities at Hadleigh Farm, you can be forgiven for not knowing or perhaps forgetting about all the other fabulous facilities that are featured on the Salvation Army land, known as Hadleigh Farm. These include the rare breeds centre which boasts such wonderful residents as Dylan the Donkey, Cookie the Exmoor pony and Rambo the woolly pig. Hadleigh Farm also boasts it's very own Tea Room - the prefect cure to escape the stresses of everyday life. Since opening in 1990, the Hadleigh Training Centre has worked with a number of organisations, including local authorities and the job centre, with the main aim of training people with special educational needs in contemporary subjects such as IT skills, carpentry, and life skills. The centre has rapidly expanded in both the numbers of staff and trainees since then. At the centre, a hard-working but fun and relaxed atmosphere is encouraged amongst staff. A great selection of contemporary subjects are on offer to trainees including the opportunity to learn life skills that are vital for each trainee to function both in the workplace and in everyday life.
